Observational Chronic Cough Clinical Trial

Chronic cough is a persistent condition that can last for months or even years, often without a clear cause. For some people, coughing continues despite treatment and can significantly affect daily life, sleep, and overall well-being.

We’re conducting an observational clinical trial to better understand how chronic cough varies and how it impacts the lives of people living with refractory or unexplained chronic cough.

Who Can Participate

We're looking for:

  • Individuals who experience chronic cough (lasting 9 months or longer, refractory or unexplained), and
  • Individuals who do not have a chronic cough, to help researchers compare findings and better understand how chronic cough develops and affects people differently.

Why Participate

By taking part, whether you have a chronic cough or not, you’ll be helping researchers gain valuable insights that could lead to improved understanding, diagnosis, and future treatments for chronic cough.

Eligible participants may:

  • Receive regular monitoring at trial visits and access to our medical team if needed.

  • Help future generations by contributing to medical research.

  • Have the results of any additional investigations undertaken forwarded to their GP.

  • Have their travel costs reimbursed*

  • Be compensated for their time and any inconvenience*
