Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

This March is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. It is dedicated to raising awareness and financial support for prostate cancer sufferers and their families. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and more than 47,500 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year- that’s 129 men every day. Men who are over 50, black, or have had a family history of prostate cancer are even at a higher risk. However, prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you check it the more likely it is to be cured.  If you feel you might fall in the high-risk category, consider contacting your GP to have a screening done.
