World Cancer Day

It’s World Cancer Day!  And did you know that due to research, 2 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer for 10 years or more? Today is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the treatment of cancer, as well as reducing stigma and misinformation. This year's theme for #WorldCancerDay is tagged: “Close the Care Gap: Realising the problem”. This day is all about understanding and recognizing the inequities in cancer care around the world. By spreading awareness, you can help build a fairer vision of the future—a future where people live healthier lives and have better access to cancer services and alternative care options, no matter where they are born, grow, age, work or live.
