World Hepatitis Day

Advocating for Global Awareness on World Hepatitis Day

World Hepatitis Day aims to bring the world together under a single theme to raise awareness of the global burden of viral hepatitis and to influence real change.

The theme for this year's World Hepatitis Day is “We’re not Waiting”. It focuses on the need to accelerate the fight against viral hepatitis and the importance of testing and treatment for the real people who need it.

This year’s campaign will amplify the voices of people affected by viral hepatitis calling for immediate action and the end of stigma and discrimination. Hepatitis affects millions worldwide, causing severe liver disease and cancer. We aim to raise awareness, highlight the role of clinical trials, and find novel treatments.

Hepatitis B and C are particularly dangerous, with high mortality rates. Public understanding and testing are crucial. Clinical trials play a vital role in developing effective treatments, they have led to significant advancements, such as direct-acting antivirals for hepatitis C.

By spreading awareness and participating in trials, we can make a difference. Stand with us against hepatitis on World Hepatitis Day. To find out more, visit Here
