It is World Obesity Day and the theme for this year is ‘EverybodyNeedsToAct’. Obesity is one of the biggest global health challenges faced by the world today. Nearly 1 in 6 adults worldwide are affected by obesity which also impacts both our health and happiness. Obesity is a multifactorial and life-altering disease, which means that it can be caused by a combination of factors like lifestyle, eating habits, genetics, the environment, etc.
It is also a risk factor for conditions such as diabetes, liver disease, and other cardiovascular diseases, hence, why healthily losing weight is important and can reverse diabetes and also positively impact overall health.

- Consume less processed and sugary foods
- Incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet
- Eat in moderate portions
- Reduce daily stress
- Stay physically active.
