Clean Air Day

Clean Air Day

Clean Air Day is the UK's largest air pollution campaign, bringing together communities, businesses, schools and the health sector. This year’s theme for Clean Air Day is: “Air pollution dirties every organ in your body. Take steps to improve your health this Clean Air Day.”

Air pollution is the biggest environmental threat to our health, regardless of who you are or where you live. Air pollution can harm every organ in the body, shorten our lives, contribute to chronic illness and put us more at risk from COVID-19.

Some simple steps to take to cut down on the air pollution we cause and use our voices to fight for a cleaner air future include:

  • Talk to someone about the harms of air pollution.
  • Walk those short-distance trips and leave the car at home, where/when you can.
  • Ask local and national decision-makers what would make it easier for you to walk more and have clean air in your community.

Take steps to improve your health and the air. Visit Cleanairday.org.uk for more information.
