World Heart Rhythm Week (WHRW) is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on and educate the public and healthcare professionals about arrhythmias.The theme is “Get to the HEART of Arrhythmias”. Our heart is the most important muscle in our body so it is crucial to keep it healthy.
Unfortunately, a lot of people suffer from cardiovascular diseases. In the UK, over 2 million people experience heart rhythm problems each year. These arrhythmias can be caused by the heart beating too fast, too slow or irregularly. People likely at risk are anyone who is over 40, endurance sports enthusiast, hypertensive or suffering from conditions like diabetes.
