World IBD Day

World IBD Day

IBD stands for inflammatory bowel disease. It includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis which are two serious, chronic digestive diseases that affect about 5 million people worldwide.

There is no cure, no known cause, and little public understanding of the pain and chronic suffering with which IBD patients courageously cope every day of their lives. It is important to educate the public about these diseases and promote research to help find IBD cures and improve patients’ quality of life.
